Is The Threat of Aggressive Drivers As Big As Drunk Drivers?

According to many Americans, aggressive drivers are a major concern as it relates to highway safety. As a matter of fact, people view aggressive drivers to be as big of a threat as drunk drivers.

We have all experienced aggressive driving on Florida roads and highways, whether we have been cutoff by someone weaving in and out of traffic or whether we have tailgated someone on the freeway. A survey conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration a few years ago revealed that the majority of drivers felt threatened by aggressive driving at least once in the previous 12 months. More astonishing than that, is that approximately one in seven surveyed indicated that they felt threatened by aggressive drivers at least one time per week over that same period.
