Why the Insurance Company Won't Pay
Because they make more money not paying! It is as simple as that. And even if they do eventually pay, the longer they wait, the more interest they earn on your money before they pay it to you. But here are some of the excuses they will use against you - and after 25 years of practice, I've seen a lot of them, so this will be a continuing blog because the insurance companies never run out of excuses not to pay on auto accidents:
The most common list of excuses for not paying you is based on simply claiming "You are not really injured, or if you are the injury is minor". This list includes: "You didn't complain of pain at the accident scene"; "You said you were OK at the accident scene"; "The police report doesn't say you complained of pain"; "You weren't bleeding or bruised"; "You didn't request an ambulance to go to the hospital"; "You didn't go to the hospital after the accident, or even the following day"; "You told the insurance company you weren't hurt"; "You didn't treat with a doctor for days or weeks following the accident"; "There is no objective evidence (x-rays, or other tests) that your pain was caused by the accident"; "You continued to go to work"; "Your complaints to the doctors were inconsistent"; "Our doctor examined you and you had full range of motion"; "Your family doctor did not prescribe physical therapy"; "You did not treat with your doctor regularly"; "You only treated with a Chiropractor"; "You had a pre-existing condition such as arthritis, and the accident didn't make you any worse".
These are just a few of the medical type excuses. I will continue the list and add lots more.
