20-Year-Old Woman Killed in Clearwater Truck Accident

April 25, 2011 - Clearwater, Fla. - According to a report from ABC Action News a 20-year-old woman was killed in a Clearwater truck accident.

Ariana Daly, 20, of New Jersey died Tuesday morning, April 19, when she turned her vehicle into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer.

Daly was traveling south on S. Gunn Avenue with her passenger, Joshua Famous, of Clearwater, in her Chevy Cavalier. At approximately 4:45 a.m. Daly turned into the path of a Mack truck that was traveling west on Gulf to Bay Boulevard.

Fire rescue workers had to free her from her vehicle where she was trapped for about 20 minutes. Daly was then taken to Morton Plant Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Her passenger, Famous, was seriously injured and was transported to Bayfront Medical Center. The driver of the truck, Jose Rosas, of Largo, suffered no injuries. Police have not yet determined the cause of the crash or revealed if charges will be filed.
