Posted on Dec 30, 2010

December 29, 2010 - St. Petersburg, FL - Two drivers are facing charges after a two-vehicle accident sent one passenger to the hospital with serious injuries.

10News WTSP.com
reports that the crash occurred in the early morning hours of December 23 at the intersection of 38th Avenue North and 33rd Street North. Kevin Bailey, 46, was driving a Honda on 38th Avenue when he failed to yield  the right-of-way to the traffic on 33rd Street as he made a left turn. His vehicle was hit broadside by an oncoming Toyota driven by Glen Parker, 37.

The front-seat passenger in Bailey's vehicle, Nicole Guarino, 39, was seriously injured in the crash. She was taken to Bayfront Medical Center for the treatment of her injuries. There is no word on the extent of her injuries or current condition.

Meanwhile, Parker left the scene of the accident on foot. Police later located him nearby the crash site.

Both of the drivers are now facing charges in the accident. Neither driver had a valid license and both are facing charges of driving with a revoked or suspended license. Bailey faces the additional charge of causing serious injury and Parker is also charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.
