
December 20, 2011 – Plant City, Fla. – According to the Plant City Courier&Tribune, the intersection of South Alexander and West Grant Streets was the site of a fatal motorcycle accident after a van and bike collided on Thursday, December 8.
The Ford van driven by a 90-year-old Plant City resident crashed into the driver of a 2005 Honda motorcycle while making a left turn onto West Grant Street at 11:40 a.m. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and while he was wearing a helmet he still sustained severe head injuries later causing him to die.
The driver of the van wasn’t injured and it isn’t known if the driver was ticketed by police.
