

The motorcyclist killed in a Wednesday night crash has been identified by the Florida Highway Patrol. Juan Andino-Casillas, a 35-year-old Tampa resident, was killed on Dale Mabry Highway in a motorcycle collision.
Andino-Casillas was ejected from his motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Corolla on northbound Dale Mabry Highway at Broad Avenue at 8:05 PM, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He was not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash, according to a news release.
The news release stated that charges are pending against the driver of the Toyota Corolla, Christopher Olivares, a 21-year-old Tampa resident. Olivares was traveling southbound on Dale Mabry Highway when he turned left at Broad Avenue and drove directly into the path of the motorcycle.
Andino-Casillas’ motorcycle hit the right side of the Corolla, throwing him from his bike. He died at the scene of the accident.
Oliveras sustained minor injuries. He had three passengers in the car who were all taken to local hospitals. Alceo Hugooton Perez III, 19, went to St. Joseph's Hospital with serious injuries; Timothy Soto, 25, went to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries; and Jenise-Lynn Martinez, 18, went to St. Joseph's Hospital with critical injuries, according to the report. All of the passengers are from Tampa.
The northbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway were closed for more than 3 hours while authorities investigated the crash scene.
