Police Searching for Hit-and-Run Driver Who Caused Bradenton Crash

June 29, 2010 - Bradenton, FL - Police are looking for a 29-year-old man who sideswiped a minivan while evading police just south of downtown Bradenton around 9 a.m. on June 23.

According to reports on Bradenton.com, the suspect, David Williams, was being pursued by police for violating probation related to drug charges when his vehicle sideswiped the minivan at the intersection of Third Street West and 13^th Avenue West, near G.D. Rogers Elementary School.

Two people who were in the minivan at the time were injured and transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.

After striking the minivan, Williams crashed into a nearby chain-link fence and fled the scene on foot. Police set up a perimeter around the area and also used police dogs to try and track down the suspect.
