School Volunteer Killed in Pinellas Park Hit and Run Accident

October 14, 2011 - Pinellas Park, Fla. - According to a report from Bay News 9, a 64-year-old school volunteer was killed in a hit and run accident on Saturday night, October 8.

Pamela Lynn Collier, 64, was killed while she was on her motorized scooter in the intersection of where 66^th St. N and 78^th Ave. meet. The driver of the car fled the scene following the incident.

According to witnesses, the driver did first slow down before leaving. They also indicate that the driver had a green light, so they may not have necessarily been at fault for the accident. 

The vehicle is identified as a dark-colored SUV with front end damage.

Collier was known as "Grandma Pam" at Pinellas Park Elementary, where she helped students with reading, writing and other activities.
