

October 14, 2011 - Pinellas Park, Fla. - According to a report from Bay News 9, a 64-year-old school volunteer was killed in a hit and run accident on Saturday night, October 8.
Pamela Lynn Collier, 64, was killed while she was on her motorized scooter in the intersection of where 66th St. N and 78th Ave. meet. The driver of the car fled the scene following the incident.
According to witnesses, the driver did first slow down before leaving. They also indicate that the driver had a green light, so they may not have necessarily been at fault for the accident.
The vehicle is identified as a dark-colored SUV with front end damage.
Collier was known as "Grandma Pam" at Pinellas Park Elementary, where she helped students with reading, writing and other activities.
