A Tampa car accident involving two vehicles begins after two men conduct a home invasion. The incident began just before midnight on Monday, March 29, 2010, in a home along Palifox Street.
According to police, the incident started when two men broke into a home on Palifox Street. The two suspects ordered everyone in the home to the floor and stole several items. One of the items they stole was the keys to the victim’s vehicle.
One of the suspects, 36-year-old William Quarles, stole the car and later crashed into another vehicle on Martin Luther King Street near 30th Street while fleeing police. When police arrived at the accident scene they found Quarles hiding in some bushes near the scene where they arrested the man.
It was unclear as to whether there was anyone in the second vehicle that Quarles crashed into.
Police are still searching for the second suspect. Police believe that he fled the crime scene in a dark-colored pickup truck.
The Tampa auto accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Details concerning the car crash were not made known.
This is an unfortunate incident. Our thoughts go out to all of those who have been affected by it.
