Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Pasco County

July 11, 2011 - Pasco County, St. Petersburg - On Wednesday, July 6, a woman was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run accident while walking down the street, ABC ActionNews.com has reported.

The victim was 49-years-old and she suffered fatal injuries when she was struck from behind while walking down Grand Boulevard in St. Petersburg. She has since been identified as Deborah Wesson Bobek.

Florida Highway Patrol reports that Bobek was traveling north on Grand Boulevard from the direction of Sunshine Park Drive when she was hit. Upon impact, Bobek was thrown into the roadway.

Immediately following the pedestrian accident, the driver fled the scene, and at the time of this posting no description of the vehicle had been made available.
